Desk research
I started desk research to understand what our competitors and the agent industry were doing. Did a full Miro board with competitors journeys. My goal here was to know more about the terminology they were using, since AI was a new area in 2023.
2. Terminology & Sitemap
After research and seeing what the big players were doing, it was time to define the main terms and concepts that we decided to adopt in our product.
“Too often, we use technical terms without considering whether our audiences will use them in exactly the same way. If they do not, we lose ground in the struggle to communicate”. Zimmerman and Clark (1987)
3. User testing
After defining all the concepts I ended up with a few doubts on a term: should I use the one more target to our DEV personas or the one aligning with the tools that introduced this technology - ChatGPT? I could decide on intuition only so I’ve lanched a user test between the words tools vs. actions. Designed all the survey, launched on User Testing, compile results and presented to my stakeholders.
4. Onboarding flow
Sketched and wrote the onboarding flow to help users get started with agents and improve learnability.
